In a Senate vote of 55-39 with victory coming from Democrats, the first Latina, Sarah Saldaña, has been selected or confirmed by the U.S. Senate to run the second largest federal government agency, ICE Immigration & Custom Enforcement. ICE Immigration & Custom Enforcement is the agency charged with overseeing deportation/removal, detention and prosecuting in immigration court.
